I’m organizing regular figure drawing sessions at my work place. This is a drawing from the first session last week. It was great fun and I’m looking forward to the next one.
I am attending a figure painting group in Atlanta. Once a month they do a long pose that is ideal for those of us who like to paint. This is the result of one such night with little fixes done at home.
In figure drawing class the other day, I loved how the bright red drapery was reflecting red into the shadows, something you cannot capture with black charcoal. Luckily I had brought my good old, Nintendo DS in and was able to make this attempt at capturing it. 🙂
I was able to get rolls of smooth newsprint from a local newspaper, and am enjoying using it with soft charcoal and charcoalpencils.
