Erling Ingi was born and raised in Iceland, on the edge of the habitable world. His art education began with a BFA from the Icelandic College of Arts and Crafts (MHI) and after working as an integral part of the creative team at one of Iceland's leading advertising agencies, he moved to San Francisco to attend the Academy of Art University Graduate School. After completing his MFA degree in Illustration, Erling worked as a freelance illustrator in New York and Reykjavik, and as a concept artist for CCP Games.

Erling's list of achievements include: Publication in Communication Arts - Illustration Annual 2007, and Ballistic Publishing: d'artiste - Digital Painting, and EXPOSÉ 10, concept art for computer games, numerous illustrations for print ads, book covers, billboards, websites and posters for commercial clients, such as the Bank of Iceland and Landsvirkjun Power, as well as a graphic novel adaptation of a 1000 year old mythological poem from the Poetic Edda. Erling has received international recognition and praise for illustration, design, art direction, and concept work.
